Benoît Pioulard is the pseudonym of Tom Meluch, a Portland-based musician and photographer. After self-releasing a few short albums, his album Enge EP - hazy, delicate, and dreamy - was picked up by Moongadget (2005), and later re-issued by Kranky (2006), followed by the full-length album Précis (Kranky 2006) and Temper (Kranky 2008).
