Beauty is in the details

By debauchette

There's lingerie, and then there's Strumpet and Pink.  These pieces are works of art, textures and textiles, filtered light, translucence, and silk satin sheen.

And the beauty is in the detail.  A pink rosette.  A satin button.  An edge that traces a curve.  Skin lightly veiled, skin cast with the cottony halo of pink knitted fluff, the gleam of a single pearl.  The beauty of the detail is expressed by the site itself - strumpetandpink.com - which leads you through close-ups of individual pieces, never allowing you to take in the whole.  You're made to appreciate the pieces in glimpses.

Lisa Morgan and Melanie Probert founded the company to create handmade undergarments with unique, inventive designs.  Their thinking process was to focus on what women would love to wear and how they would feel wearing it, and their approach to femininity turns on organic floral elements, as ruffles part like petals, and traces of ballet, with elements of tulle and satin. As works of art, these pieces carry a high price, but to some, their uniqueness renders them priceless.
