This year, Nan Goldin's epic Ballad of Sexual Dependency, a multimedia slideshow of photography shot from the 1970-1990's, will be screened at the photography festival Les Rencontres d’Arles (Arles, France). 

In a recent interview, she said: "At the Tate Gallery I asked an audience of 150 how many of them believed a photograph could be real. Only five put up their hands. That’s not a world I thought I would grow into." 

From July 7th to September 13th.
