Suraya Sidhu Singh

Suraya Sidhu Singh was born in New Zealand in 1978. She has lived in New Zealand, Malaysia, Sweden and the United Kingdom. She has lived in London since 2004.

Her career has spanned publishing, criminal justice, education and full-time writing. Her short fiction has won several awards and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Her theater writing has been performed at the Arcola Theatre in London.

She recently founded Filament Magazine, a unique magazine for women showcasing intelligent articles and images of men designed for the female gaze. It is a quarterly magazine and launched its first issue in June 2009.

As part of Filament Magazine's mission to design erotic photography of men especially for women, Suraya runs a research community of 600 women worldwide, dedicated to finding out what turns women on.
